Philippine Red Cross Health Caravan Provides Free Medical Services to Urdaneta City Residents
The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Pangasinan Chapter recently held a Health Caravan in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, providing free medical consultations and other health services to over 150 individuals.
The Health Caravan took place at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church in Barangay Pedro T. Orata, and was attended by volunteers and staff from PRC, including doctors, dentists, and nurses. The event was made possible with the support of various partners and sponsors, including the Urdaneta City Health Office, Philippine Medical Society Eastern Pangasinan Chapter, Philippine Academy of Family Physician – Pangasinan Chapter, Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation Pharmacy, Schools Division Office of Urdaneta, and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church.
Attendees were able to receive a range of free services, including medical consultations, hygiene promotion, dental services, blood sugar checks, first aid lectures, COVID vaccinations, and free medicines. The Health Caravan was especially timely, given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the need for increased access to healthcare services.
