Alcala Municipal Advisory Council holds monthly meeting to discuss 4Ps implementation
ALCALA, PANGASINAN – The Alcala Municipal Advisory Council, headed by Mayor Jojo B. Callejo, conducted its monthly meeting today at the Municipal Conference Center to discuss updates and issues concerning the implementation of the 4Ps program within the municipality.
During the meeting, the Municipal Links presented the updates and certain issues encountered in implementing the program. The concerned departments, including the Department of Social Welfare and Development, expressed their opinions, suggestions, and recommendations to address the issues and concerns raised during the meeting.
The 4Ps or the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program is a poverty reduction strategy of the Philippine government, which provides conditional cash transfers to poor families to help them improve their health, nutrition, and education.
Mayor Jojo B. Callejo stressed the importance of ensuring the proper implementation of the program to maximize its impact on the beneficiaries. He acknowledged the efforts of the concerned departments and urged them to work together to address the challenges encountered in implementing the program.
The Municipal Advisory Council is composed of the local chief executive, municipal councilors, and representatives from the different sectors in the municipality. It serves as an advisory body to the local government in the formulation and implementation of programs and projects for the benefit of the community.
The monthly meeting of the council provides an avenue for open dialogue and discussion among the members and allows them to address issues and concerns concerning the community’s welfare.
