Governor Guico Announces Salary Increase for Regular and Non-Regular Employees in Pangasinan

LINGAYEN, PANGASINAN – Governor Ramon Mon-Mon Guico III announced during the regular flag-raising ceremony on February 13th, the implementation of the fourth tranche of the Salary Standardization Law V of 2019 (SSL V). This law, which took effect on January 10th, 2023, will adjust the salaries of both regular and non-regular employees in the province.

According to OIC-Provincial Budget Officer Dolores U. Vinuya, the salary increase for regular employees will be based on their Salary Grade (SG). Meanwhile, casual employees will see an increase from P568.95 last year to P590.90, while Job Order employees will receive a four percent raise, from P682.74 to P709.09.

Governor Guico also emphasized his priority to the well-being of employees. He instructed the Provincial Housing and Urban Development Coordinated Office, headed by Engineer Alvin Bigay, to expand the housing program to provide decent and comfortable homes for Capitol employees.

Additionally, the governor requested the passage and approval of the Pangasinan Salt Center Ordinance and tasked the Human Resource Management and Development Office and department heads to find competent individuals to run the salt center, which is currently under the control of the local government.

This move by Governor Guico is seen as a positive step towards improving the lives of Pangasinan’s employees and addressing their basic needs. It is a testament to his commitment to providing better working conditions and a brighter future for the people of the province.
