San Nicolas, Philippines – The preparations for the 2023 fiesta celebration of San Nicolas are in full swing as Mayor Alicia Primicias-Enriquez meets with this year’s members of the Fiesta Executive Committee. The goal of the meeting was to ensure that the upcoming celebration will not only be peaceful but meaningful as well.
Mayor Alice stated that San Nicolanians are expecting a lot from this year’s celebration and they would like to satisfy the prospects of their people. “We are now moving towards our celebration post pandemic period and we are certain that San Nicolanians are expecting too much for this year’s celebration and we would like to satisfy the prospects of our people because they deserve to be afforded a meaningful one,” said Mayor Alice.
The EXECOM meeting focused on the finalization of the budget and the details of the week-long festivity. The Mayor announced that they will soon announce the schedules of the festivity to the public as they are still finalizing the mapping of plans, considering some significant proposals, and creating additional committees to make sure everything will be in order.
This year’s occasion will highlight the faith and resiliency of every San Nicolanian, including the town’s culture in the post-Covid-19 era. Mayor Alice emphasized that they have a lot to be thankful for to the Almighty, despite the many challenges they have encountered in the past two years of the heightened pandemic. “We really have a lot to be thankful for to the Almighty because despite the many challenges we have encountered in the past two years of the heightened pandemic, we are still alive and well. We wanted this to become the center theme of our celebration this year. We owe it to our Maker,” said Mayor Alice.
