New Ordinance Requires Clean Garments and Hair Nets for Food Service Providers in Binalonan

Binalonan, Pangasinan – The Municipality of Binalonan recently implemented a new ordinance that requires all food service providers to wear clean garments and hair nets while on duty. The said ordinance, Municipal Ordinance No. 2015-02, was implemented to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of food establishments in the area.

According to the ordinance, food handlers working in all food establishments and/or food services within the territorial jurisdiction of the Municipality of Binalonan must wear clean working garments and hairnets at all times. Failure to comply with the new ordinance will result in penalties for the violators.

For the first offense, a food handler who violates the ordinance will be fined Php 250.00. A second offense will cost the food handler Php 500.00 and will result in the suspension of the food establishment/food service for two (2) days. On the third offense, a food handler will be fined P 1,500.00, and the food establishment/food service shall be suspended for five (5) days. Finally, a fourth offense will result in the revocation of the food establishment’s business permit.

The implementation of Municipal Ordinance No. 2015-02 is essential in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the food being served to the public.
