Pangasinan Higher Educational Institutions Receive Scholarship Grants from Republic of Korea

Pangasinan, Philippines — Through a significant opportunity from the Republic of Korea, Pangasinan has accepted a crucial offer for four Higher Educational Institutions in the province.

The Lotte Scholarship Foundation, a renowned name in the field of education, has provided 80 slots of scholarship grants for students from Pangasinan Polytechnic College (PPC), Pangasinan State University, Binalatongan Community College in San Carlos City, and University of Eastern Pangasinan in Binalonan.

On March 7, 2024, the Memorandum of Understanding was officially signed between the Lotte Foundation represented by Chairwonan Chang Haesun and the four presidents of the aforementioned Higher Educational Institutions.

According to Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino, each scholar will receive $450 US Dollars per semester from the first year until their graduation. This offer will take effect starting the next School Year Calendar.

“The Lotte Foundation does not ask for anything in return for their offer. It is merely part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, similar to their provision of scholarship grants in other Southeast Asian countries. In the Philippines, Pangasinan is the first beneficiary of Lotte Foundation’s CSR,” Lambino further added.

This offer is sure to provide broader opportunities for students in Pangasinan to achieve their dreams through education.
