Dagupan City, Pangasinan – The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Pangasinan Chapter Dagupan Branch held a successful health caravan last April 21 at the Dagupan City Plaza, serving 188 individuals from 31 barangays with various health services and interventions.
The health caravan aimed to provide medical assistance, promote good hygiene practices, and offer basic life support training to those who need it most. The PRC staff and volunteers, in partnership with the Pangasinan Medical Society, Dagupan City’s Local Government Unit, City Health Office, Dagupan Doctors Villaflor Memorial Hospital, Universidad De Dagupan School of Health Sciences, and Sandrides and Bar Adventure, worked together to ensure the event’s success.
The health caravan provided various medical consultations, distributed medicine, and offered hygiene promotion sessions, hot meals on wheels, first aid and basic life support training, blood typing, sugar blood testing, mobile X-ray, and COVID-19 vaccinations. The event was a massive success, and the volunteers and staff were able to serve the community well.
The event was well-received by the community, and the PRC team was commended for their efforts in providing quality healthcare services. Many beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the free services and opportunities provided by the health caravan.
The Philippine Red Cross remains committed to its mission of providing humanitarian services, especially during these challenging times. Through the health caravan and other initiatives, PRC hopes to make a significant impact on the lives of Filipinos and help build a healthier, more resilient nation.
