Alcala’s PMOC Program Helps Prepare Would-Be Couples for Married Life

Alcala, Philippines – The Local Government of Alcala, through the trained PMOC Team, conducted Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling to 10 would-be couples today, March 8, 2023, at the Municipal PopCom Office. The Pre-Marriage Orientation was conducted from 8:30-11:30 in the morning to all would-be couples, while Pre-Marriage Counseling was conducted from 1:00-4:00 in the afternoon to would-be couples who are 18-25 years old by the accredited PM Counselor/ PMOC Team Leader Ms. Letecia Quiocho.

The Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling (PMOC) aims to educate the would-be couples about their responsibilities as future spouses and parents, family planning, communication skills, and budget management. This program is part of the government’s effort to promote healthy relationships and responsible parenthood.

After the successful conduct of PMO, all would-be couples have received their Certificate of Compliance. Meanwhile, those who have undergone PMC have received their Certificate of Counseling, which proves that they have completed the necessary counseling sessions required by the local government.

The PMOC Team would like to reiterate that PMOC shall only be conducted every Wednesday. For inquiries, interested parties may approach the Municipal Civil Registrar’s Office, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, Municipal Health Office, and Municipal Population Office.

The Local Government of Alcala is committed to promoting responsible parenthood and family planning.
