Pangasinan Government Distributes Financial Grants to 4,193 Civilian Volunteers in Recognition of Their Efforts
LINGAYEN, PANGASINAN – The provincial government of Pangasinan led by Governor Ramon Mon-Mon Guico III recognized the efforts of the civilian volunteers in maintaining peace and order in their communities by providing financial grants to 4,193 volunteer from the towns in the 6th district on February 7.
During his speech, Governor Guico emphasized the small act of giving financial assistance as compared to the sacrifices made by the CVOs. He also shared his vision of improving the livelihood of Pangasinenses through job opportunities and the importance of accessible road infrastructures, such as the Pangasinan East-West Expressway (PEWEx), which the local government has allocated P1 to P2 billion as its counterpart.
Vice Governor Mark Lambino also emphasized that this is not the first nor the last aid that the CVOs will receive from the province.
The distribution of the financial grants was attended by 6th district board members Salvador S. Perez, Jr. and Noel C. Bince, Umingan Mayor Michael Carleone M. Cruz, Sta. Maria Mayor Julius C. Ramos, 6th District Political Affairs Officer Rebecca Saldivar, 5th District Political Affairs Officer Jesus “Isong” Basco, Acting Provincial Treasurer Cristy C. Ubando, councilors, league of barangay presidents and SK presidents.
This act of recognition by the provincial government showcases their support and appreciation for the efforts of the civilian volunteers in maintaining peace and order in their communities. The financial grants serve as a token of gratitude for their invaluable contributions.
