Philippine Red Cross in Pangasinan Offers Valentine’s Freebies to Lucky Blood Donors
DAGUPAN CITY – The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) in Pangasinan province is giving away Valentine’s freebies to lucky blood donors from February 1 to 24.
In a statement, PRC Pangasinan medical technologist Alvin Anthony Alano said that the freebies include a romantic dinner date, a relaxing spa treatment, or free movie tickets. He added that the names of the winners will be announced via a livestream on PRC Pangasinan’s Facebook page on February 24.
Alano stated that the goal of the giveaway is to encourage more people to donate blood during this season, when there is a high demand for it. The PRC receives an average of 40 requests for blood from patients every day, but unfortunately, they are not always able to meet the needs of all patients.
“We want to remind everyone that donating blood is one of the greatest gifts we can give to those who are in need,” Alano said. “It doesn’t matter if you’re single or in a relationship. The prizes can be enjoyed with loved ones, family members, friends, or even just by yourself.”
He also mentioned that the number of winners will depend on the number of sponsors who have pledged to support the promo. However, he declined to disclose the exact number at this time.
The PRC in Pangasinan is encouraging everyone to participate in this blood donation drive and have a chance to win exciting prizes. By doing so, they can not only celebrate Valentine’s Day in a special way but also help save the lives of others.
